Remove belt and turn the tranny pulley till the spin basket starts to turn. If it will not turn, you probably have something stuck in the tub, or worn thrust washers. Post model #.

Steve, if nothing is stuck in between the 2 tubs, then you could have a seized tub bearing. Part # 2-4012, and you would also want to replace the stem seal kit if that were the case. Part # 2-4013. I am assuming you have this model, that I suggest because you said you replaced both belts, but did not give a model #. Tom

Thanks For Your Responses.....inner Tub Did Spin By Hand But Not Very Easy...removed Top And Checked Between Inner & Outter Tub But Nothing Found...reassembled Everything...now Washer Seems To Be Working Fine...never Did Find Any Problem Other Than The Burnt Drive Belt...still Wondering If There Is A Problem That Is Going To Reoccur Or If There Is Nothing I Should Worry About.............maytag Performer Model #lat2500aae

When you removed the tub top, the jamming item may have fallen down the bottom. If so, it may not drain out well.
Also, the brake shoes may have jamed temporarily. If it happens again, you can tilt the washer back, move the tranny pulley clockwise and hit the housing a bit to release the brake.
