Hi, my maytag washer, model # mav7000aww, is not cycling properly. It seems to work properly in delicate mode, but the other cycles it will not work all the time, or it gets stuck in wash mode. The timer dial is moving through the cycles but it continues to wash. It fills ok, the belt is good, agitates normally, and spins normally in delicate mode. I went to a local appliance parts supply house and they recommended I start with the lid switch, I changed that and the symptoms are still the same. Could it be the timer or maybe some other voodoo?:D

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

J,

You most likely have a bad contact inside the timer,

Part number: AP4028728
Part number: AP4028728

But first check that all the selection button switches are working proper and have no loose wires, before you replace the timer.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I will check the contacts and the switches.
