the problem with this front loading washer is when in spin cycle the hot water doesnt shut off it dribbles.not at full stream. if it was the inlet valve then when you disconect the power then it wouldnt stop leaking. right?? i have replaced to temp. control board in it and cleaned all the hoses up as well.. this only does it on hot or warm never on cold. i switched the hot and cold wires so the the hot was coming on when cold was called for and vise virssa.. then the cold would dribble.. any ideas??? :mad: :rolleyes:

I could not find any info on this unit so below is my guess
if it was the inlet valve then when you disconect the power then it wouldnt stop leaking. right??
Wrong.
The valve may not be sealing correctly so removing power from it would not make a difference. If you have removed power from it and it still leaks then the valve needs replacing. |

I would totally agree with Denman, the solonoid is not staying in the closed position. Replace the valve. But, until then, shut the water off behind the washer. You don't want to wake up in the morning to wet feet. Tom

i did disconect the power and water stoped.. so it doesnt seem to be the valve.. any other ideas???

It still could be the valve. Without the power, the solonoid could have seated. The best way to check it is to put a meter on the wires, and then plug it in, and see if you get partial power. If not replace the valve. Tom

ok i checked the hot water plug and there is still a little bit of power there.. once unpluged the hot water stoped.. what is feeding the power to the plug??? thanks gary

I cannot find any info on this unit perhaps Kayakcrzy has it or someone else.
Good chance it is run by the control board re: a triac |

Denman, I have the right model # here, and it is wpxh214aoww. From what I can see, the only place that would send the power to the water valve, would be the timer. Tom

Would be nice to have wiring diagram.
Seems strange that he measures "a little bit of power there" when it is just a set of timer contacts. Got a feeling he is just measuring ghost voltage.
Stumps me at this point.

I have the same feeling you do. In my heart, I just think the coil seated because the voltage was pulled. I would replace the valve, because, I have never seen a timer send partial voltage before. Tom
