Hi

Any ideas what might be the problem, my washer on the spinning cycle s pins very slow. Please explain in simple terms, as I f it t he stereotype of all the dumb blonde jokes.

You have a bad clutch and probably bad brake shoes. Do the tranny coupler test in my sticky "replacing direct drive washer brake shoes". You will need to pull it apart to verify, a routine job but you will need the special spanner wrench.
