I'm Replacing The Door Boot On My Maytag Neptune,and There Is A Blur Rectangular Block Of Foam Laying In Bottom Of Washer.
I Figure Maybe Supposed To Be On Sidewall Or Somewhere To Maybe Cushion Or Limit Drum Movement ??

It is probably a piece of sound insulation, I wouldn't worry about it.
