Default GE washer wssh300gww Ripping clothes
Model Number: wssh300gww   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

Hi,

I have GE front loader wssh300gww machine, it is randomly ripping clothes. It usualy cuts the clot her in like 2 inches and it looks like burned or scuff type cut. Any idea what could be causing this I am tired of destroying clothes. Could this be rubber seal scuffing and cutting the clothes I do not see any damage to the rubber seal etc, Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Ok, a couple of things.

First of all this is a Frigidaire made machine sold under the GE label.

Second, I think a vane may be loose and causing your problem.

Here is a Frigidaire service manual that will help you take them out and examine them.

You may be able to tighten them, but I am guessing that something is chpped or broken and you can then replace them. They are not expensive.

If my memory is correct there is not screw in the factory assembly but there is a screw hole where you can insert a screw to tighten things up. First check to see that the tabs that hold the vane are all correctly in place, and there is nothing broken. You may want to put in a screw to tighten things up. Just do not use an electric screw driver, and lightly hand tighten things.
