Whirlpool washer, no drain or spin
 

My Whirlpool washer will not drain or spin in any cycle. It did go thru the wash cycle, but when pause/spin cycle hits, the machine just sits there fat, dumb & happy. :cool:

I removed the drain pump and it appears OK. Nothink stuck in the drain line. My guess is the timer since the the same thing happens in all cycles. Possibly a shory in the pause/spin control?? :confused:

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. ;)

Check the lid switch, the chances are much greater that is the problem than the timer.

Thanks very much for the info. I checked it last night and sure enough it was split open in two. New part is on order.
