washer runs for about 4 to 5 seconds then stops. It will keep doing this every 5 minutes. It does not matter if it is on the fill cycle, drain or spin cycle. It does the same thing.

Your machine has some built in diagnostic features that work by flashing lights.

Look inside the lower service panel and you should find some tech notes that will show you how to generate error codes and test components.
