My washer won't engage in the next cycle (washing to cool down rinse or cool down rinse to final rinse) automatically. I have to press the knob, turn it two clicks, and then start it again. It have to be done twice by washing. Any idea on the problem?

If you are not having any problem with the agitate, drain, spin rinse etc then the problem is likely with the timer. Seems like we are getting a lot of timer failures on models like this currently.

Here is the part.
