Fellow posters,
I have an old Whirlpool washer the wife loves too much to throw away.
Problem with the control knob does not seem to align with the correct spot on the indicator dial any longer.
Can this be realigned with out totally replacing the control timer? The unit works but not according to the timer dial.
Any help or guidance will be appreciated.

Turn the dial till the washer agitates on slow speed, locate the beginning of the gentle cycle, and set the dial to this and use slicone glue to glue it in place.
