My Neptune has recently started making a roaring noise and virbarting excessively on the final spin. I have no cule as to what parts I need to fix it? Please help me !!!! Thank you in advance Tom.

This usually means the rear tub bearings are shot, and that usually means replacement as your other choices are replacing the tub or getting or renting some special tools and having a heckuva job getting the bearing out and replacing it.

Thank you for the reply, the tub to replace is the out side or inside tub? I have a front load washer with thw water inside of it.

It is this part here, which as you can see is prohibitively expensive. Part number: AP4028180
My own personal theory is that Maytag has made this repair part very expensive because they do not want anyone to do it. This machine has been a major problem for the company, and nearly destroyed it. I think they just want these machine out of service and done with, so the reminder of what went wrong is no longer in people's minds.
