I have a 3 year old Frigidaire FTF530FS. It has been running normally and last night we put in a load and it completed a full regular cycle. The buzzer buzzed and the "lock" light went out, but the door will not open. I have since:

1) Disconnected/Reconnected power several times;
2) Run through additional partial and full cycles (both regular and perm press);
3) Removed the lower panel to try to reach up and look for some "manual" door release (with no success)

When it runs through the cycles everything is fine. The door just won't open!

From reading other posts I'm assuming this is a bad Door Lock Assembly, and that it will need replacing, but how can I get at it without opening the door?

Any help would be appreciated.

I cannot say I have ever seen this with the Frigidaire before, and the Service Manual does not indicate there is a pull table emergency open similar to what is on Whirlpoo.

I am going to say to take off the top and see if you can get to it that way (if I had one in front of me I could probably see how to do it, but I don't have one in the shop).

Good luck.
