Our Whirlpool Washer will not go into the High Spin at the end of the cycle. It starts to spin, but slowly. If I stop it, open the lid, and wiggle the tub a little, sometimes it will finally go into a high spin. Other times, we just start the spin cycle again, and eventually it will go into the high spin. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

Thanks,

David J. Lee

You have a worn clutch and probably bad brake shoes, go to my sticky above, "replacing direct drive washer brake shoes" for info on this.
