Today My kenmore washer would not spin the water out of the machine. Once in the past (a different machine) the switch that is controlled when you shut the lid had rusted and broken off. With the problem today I noticed that both the screws where the stricker goes in are loose. We can't figure out how to get to the switch that these screws hold. On our old washer you could pop the top loose and raise it up to check. How do we get the top up on this washer to check and see if a new switch is needed. It runs fine no noises etc. Model #110.29842991 Serial #CJ1349783 stock #29842

Thanks for the video, I searched some sites on the web yesterday morning and found the same video. After that it was a snap to get the old part out and the new one installed. Again thanks
