The Maytag, Atlantis model Screaches at the end of each stopping action, during agitation. Everything else works great. Is there some felt pads or something similar that usually goes bad?
Thanks, Monty

Sounds like a problem with the brake assembly. Unfortunately it requires a special brake tool as the brake spring has 200 lbs of force.

Maytag will no longer allow access to its tech info, and you need to find or buy a Maytag Atlantis Service Manual so you can determine if you want to tackle the job of taking it apart.
