Default washer will not spin or drain
Model Number: LXR7244JQ1   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years   

The washer will was but will not go into the rinse or spin cycle. You can hear a small humming noise....any suggestions of what might be wrong?

pull the pump off the front of the motor and jump the lid switch with a wire between the two wires (not the green one)start it in spin. If it goes replace pump if not pull motor off maybe broken motor coupler if not it is the clutch assy

If the washer agitates ok, but no spin, it's probably a bad timer.If no agitate, probably a bad coupler.
