My Kennmore 80 Series is not agitating during the wash/rinse cycle or spinning during the spion cycle. It fills and drains just fine & makes no noise when filling or draining. It does make a humming noise when it is supposed to be agitating or spinning. Help, is this worth fixing or is it a gonner. If it is fixable approx how much will it cost and can I try to do the repair (i am a washer repair virgin). Thanks in advance!!

Replace the lid switch, that should do it. Tom
