Model Number: model WLRR5000G0WW Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
My GE top load washer (model WLRR5000G0WW) does not agitate or spin. The washer will go through the entire cycle. I realized that something was wrong when I opened the
machine at the end of the cycle and the clothes had not moved and there was still soap on the top layer of clothes. The outer tub was tilted to the left. I took the panel off and found that one of the suspension rods was off of the frame. I put it back on - hoping that the problem was solved. Unfortunately, that's not the case. I Checked: Suspension rods: All 4 are attached now Door/lid switch: No loose wires. Not sure if that is the problem. Drive Belt: Still attached. I can turn the wheel (?) and the belt moves the tub. No oil residue. (I read that oil on the belt was bad?) So I ran the cycle and watched the washing machine... here is what I saw: Fill: The washer fills up with water just fine. Wash: Nothing. No motor, no noise. Then after 5-8 minutes, the motor turns on and pumps the water out of the tub. Rinse: The washer fills up with water just fine. Then after it is full of water, the motor stops. Then nothing. After 5 minutes or so, the motor turns on and pumps the water out. Spin: The motor runs with the empty tub, but the tub does not spin. The cycle ends when the spin cycle is over. Help! What could the problem be? Thanks! Jen Related Models |
