My washer's lid isn't connecting. I was told to put a pencil end in hole to see if it starts to spin an it does. I was told there is away to by pass it by deactivating it. My problem is all it does is make ticking when ready to spin then stops. Does anyone know how or directions anywhere?

Mst,

Are you sure, the lid switch actuator(on the lid)is not broken ?

Part number: AP3098547
Part number: AP3098547

And the hinges and lid are not loose or bowed in or out ?

For Safety Reasons (your safety) you DO NOT want to bypass the lid switch mechanism.

You do want to check it, and see if it has been knocked out of alignment, or replace it, if everything else is proper.

Part number: AP3100001
Part number: AP3100001

:) :) :)
