Default Washer timer does not work on Normal
Model Number: GLTF2940ES3   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

First off, this is an awesome site. I found this site through google and it guided me to the problem and solution to fix my washer. My wife is a happy camper.

Anyway, here is my second issue: as anyone knows, who owns one of these, when you make a selection using the timer/selector knob, each setting beeps then lights up the corresponding lights and cycle time. When I try to select "Normal", there is no "beep" and does not show lights or time. It acts as if it is a dead spot on the dial. Anyone else had this issue ? If so, what fixed it ?

Thanks in advance for all the replies,
My07Bobber

Bobber,

Have you checked all the selection buttons, make sure none are stuck in the pressed position.

All the other cycle selections work, correct ?

If the above checks apply,

It sure sounds like you're needing the control PC Board.

Yeah...Everything else works as advertised. I pretty much narrowed it to the control board also, based on the research of other posts with similar problems. For what that thing costs though, I told the wife that we could live without "Normal" for awhile....LOL

Bobber,

I understand,

I'd probably do the same, the permanent press cycle would be the most simillar cycle to the "normal" cycle, and should keep you going for a while.

Good Luck,
