Hello! I hope that someone out there can help me. I will explain briefly as I can my situation. My new puppy chewed through my power cord to my washing machine and I ordered a new one from this site. It came today and I am now trying to repair said washer myself and I think I am about to have a nervous breakdown hahaha. I have cut the old and new power cords and have stripped the insulation on both ends as laid out in the instructions that came with the cord. I am now at the part where you have to connect the cords and use these crimp splices, i kind of twist the wires together and put them in the crimp splice but it just falls off...is there another step that I am missing? What am I doing wrong? Please please please help!! Thank you so much!

You need a special tool - crimper.

More information is here: crimp splice.
