For some time now our washer has made a loud "clunk" as it changes cycles. I just replaced the clutch due to it being worn and had hoped that it would fix the "clunk" problem but no luck. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this problem? Also just noticed that there is now a defined click when the agitator changes direction.

Thanks

Noises like you have are difficult to diagnose without being there. I am going to go with the least costly solutions. Try changing out the support springs to fix the clunk and the agitator dogs to fix the agitator problem.
