Hi hart7220

Most likely the problem with your washer is a bad control board. It's not repairable and has to be replaced.

- The part number for the new control assembly AP3140343

- Here are the break down diagrams for the GE washer Model WCSE3100A1WW

Good luck.
Gene.

GE has had a lot of problems with motors. Before replacing control board, which might just blow out when you turn on the washer, check the motor current, if over 10 amps, you have a shorted centrifical switch in the motor. You can click on your model # to order it.If you remove front panel and measure voltage to the motor. If ok when it shuts off this confirms new motor time.

I got a new control board and still have the same problem. If the centrifical switch is bad doe's that mean that I need a whole new motor? Please help, thanks, Neal.

GE does not sell parts for the motor separate which means you have to buy the whole motor with the clutch assembly.

- The part number for the motor AP3160670

Do you think it's worth putting this kind of money into this machine?

Just wanted to let you know that the spin cycle is now working. Could the motor still possibly be a problem? Thanks, Neal.
