The washer will not agitate in wash cycle. It fills, spins during rinse and pumps OK. The belts are intact. I blew the fuse while attempting to manually manipulate the lid switch to see when the spindle was turning, I am on my way out to get a new fuse.

What's next to troubleshoot?

Does the motor run during the agitation?

No, the only sound appears to be the control knob timer.

Most likely the problem is a bad motor.

Perform the troubleshooting as described in the Service manual (page 4-8).

Thanks for the follow-up. I noticed that each time I cycled the timer knob, it did not operate consistently. The motor never operated during the wash cycle, but it operated during spin, most of the time. I decided to replace the timer assembly and the washer works like new.
