When the lid is lifted during the spin cycle it continues to spin for a long time. When the washer is agitating the drum is also spinning. It looks like the brake is not working properly. Can the brake be replaced seperately or is it integrated into the transmission? I cannot find a part number for the brake only the transmission assembly? Is there a breakdown of the transmission to show where the brake is??? Thanks for any help.

Well with the couple other parts it needed to be brought back to spec, it looks like at least $200. I found a GE that had good reviews for $330 plus tax on sale so.... New one hooked up and running. Thanks for the info....
