i need some advice on this my washer is leaking on the floor when i start the wash cycle and i can tell that the water is comming from the tub, so just what is causing this and what do i need to repair this and is it very hard to repair? are there any special tools that i will need, water is leaking above the tranny and i was told that it is a tube seal. also i read that a spander wrench was needed, i so what does it look like and where can i find one?

I was told that on this washer it would be best to throw it away because it is not worth the time, money and repair. what is a estimate of the time and difficulty to replace the seal. Can you also give me a part number and the cost of the seal?
