I made the mistake of putting something into the washer that I shouldn't have. The strap on the backback popped up and pulled on the supply hose, breaking the injector, which my son replaced. He took too many things apart to get to it, and reassembled it all which looks okay. Now the water just trickles in to the tub. The water valves in the wall are open. Anyone have any idea what it could be, before I bring in the repairman I can't afford!

Thanks for the quick response. The water isn't leaking when it isn't in a cycle. When I set the dial and pull to start the cycle is when the water only trickles in.

Does this happen with both hot and cold.
If both then odds are something is wrong with the repair.
If it is only one of them then try the following.
It is possible that there is a problem one side of the water valve. Turn off the water tap. Undo the hose at the machine and run some water into a pail, to be sure water is reaching the machine. Some hoses have a screen filter built into the rubber washer at the tap. Also hoses can de-laminate internally and reduce/stop the flow. If OK Look into the machines water valve and check that the filter screen on the input side of the valve is clean. If not clean it. Do not permanently remove it as it is there to keep crud out of the valve which could hold the valve open and cause a flood. |
