Salutations.. I recently sent back a knob for my washer... My problem: i have to manually use all fingers & thumb to rotate the knob control skirt (the skirt underneath the push/pull knob)... I am unable to rotate the control-skirt (for lack of a better name, sorry) by pushing the knob IN, as it doesn't connect like it used to by pushing the knob IN and rotating IT to a particular wash-cycle. I bought a new skirt from you guys as the old one broke....and then I bought a new knob and sent it back as it didn't do anything different than my old knob.... Please tell me....what actually causes the 'control-skirt' under the washer knob to actuall rotate when I push the knob IN... Thanx mucho! The timer shaft has a plastic piece and a pin on its other end. When you push in the knob it makes the shaft and the timer switch cam connected. Looks like it's worn out. The correction is to replace the timer. - The timer Part number: AP3100440
