Wash cycle works but will not drain water, also seems to skip rinse cycle,
does not spin out water with the fast spin, but will slosh clothes on
slower cycle. Do I need both a pump and timer?

First you will need to check the Hose coming from your tub to the pump. It contains a filter cup and this could be clogged. If all is clear, then you will need to order a new pump. Here is the part number as well as a link to the parts diagram. The hose I'm talking about is number 341 on the diagram. Hope this helps.

This is what your part changed over to. This should work fine on your machine.
