Washer Repair

I Had this washer at my old house and I remembering the bottom rotating to the left and the top half rotated to the right. Now where I live it's a he said different machine and only the bottom is rotating left and right ,and the top part is doing nothing. Being that it's the same make and model I thought maybe my memory did'nt remember my machine that when the bottom is agitating to the the left ,the top is agitating to right, and vis versa. Please respond I had someone look at the machine but he's not a machine repairman and he said there's nothing wrong. Thanks, Jeri

Hi Jeri

Take the agitator apart and check the dogs, these parts here.

Part number: AP3119063

They have ridges on them, and yours may be broken or the ridges may be worn off.
