 Our washer completes the wash cycle but will not completely drain out rinse water, leaving our clothes sopping wet. There is also water left somewhere within and leaves behind a funky odor. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Check your pump for an obstruction.
As for the funky smell.... do you use liquid detergent and/or fabric softener? Have you performed the recommended bleach cycle, with nothng else once per month?

If nothing stuck in the pump, I would time how long it takes to drain all the water, if well over 30 seconds, replace the pump.

I have exactly the same problem as you. It doesn't make sense that the pump would be bad because it clears the wash water. I am leaning to either the lid switch or the timer. I'll let you know.

We are talking about a front loader here. For the front loader, you might not have high spin at all. Check the motor control board for that. If top loader, check the clutch, especially if it fails to spin with a heavy load.

You just may have a bad pump. If you turn the washer timer back to spin and the rest of the water drains out, you have a bad pump, should clear out all the water in spin period.
