Model Number: KAWE560WWH3 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: More than 10 years
Everything on my washer works EXCEPT spinning. I've replaced the clutch, which did not fix the problem, so I replaced the nuetral drain assembly. During that I did find that there is a round metal stud that one of the pieces sits on (a pawl switch I think it was called) was broken. Putting in the new kit, however, did not fix the problem. Proping the washer up and running it through a cycle, I can see that the clutch moves back and forth during agitate, the motor reverses ad the pump spins pumping out the water, but then I would expect to see the clutch spin again during the spin cycle. It does not move. Pulling out the gearcase again, I can turn the transmission coupler by hand. In the counterclockwise direction, everything turns smoothly inside. When switching to clockwise, within the first few revolutions there is a hang up that I need to use some force to get past, then the coupler spins easily and all of the parts seems to be moving, but I do not always see the tub shaft turning.
First, can someone verify that I've put these parts in correctly? I used the attachment feature to upload 3 pics, but don't see them anywhere. Please give me directions on how to supply a picture. Second what else should I check? Ads By Google Related Models |

Seems like a bad tranny. They are hard to fix, I would opt for a new one. AP3096209 Just checked and there is no one on this forum that has fixed one, but you could re-post and ask if anyone has fixed one.
