when washer is spining and full, it does not seem to spin fast enough!! took back off ran with nothing in washer and it still only would spin very slowly. looking for any help to see if motor or tranny is doing this or could be something else the problem. Just wondering if it is worth fixing!! thank you for any help with this.

These are very good machines and your problem might be the clutch (a lot of these problems lately, must be the moon phase) Here is a site that will show you how to tackle it. Note: You leave the back alone, and take off the cabinet to repair these. Clutch Replacement on Whirlpool and Kenmore Washers
