no water
the cycle control was rotated while pulled out by mistake. Now no water will enter machine. Replaced the water level switch and water inlet valve but no help. All I can get is a low hum from machine for 10 to 15 seconds before stopping. drain and spin cycles ok but no water fill or rinse in any position of control. help is appreciated.

Check to make shre there is no obstruction in the water hoses. Make sure the water is turned on (This comes from experience, so don't go thinking I'm being facetious here).
There should have been free play in the timer shaft to prevent damage; but it is possible that your timer is at fault. |
thanks for reply; checked water hoses . problem occurred after successful completion of initial load of wash;got in a hurry and spun dial when timer knob pulled out.

any secret on removal of knob from timer switch? thanks
|
Open the control panel. In the center of the timer you'll see a plastic peg. Pill it out about 3/4" and the knob will release from the front. The dial just pulls straight off.
