Washer will not agitate and makes grinding noise
Model Number: LSN1000PQ1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
My Whirlpool LSN1000PQ1 washing machine will not agitate and is making a grinding noise when we turn it on. I looked up a few things on the internet and decided to try and replace the agitator. I have already replaced the agitator, and I am still having the same problems. I appreciate any help!

Take off the cabinet and inspect the pump. If it is ok, go ahead and take off the motor and inspect the coupling. If it is ok your problem may be in the transmission but I am hoping it is the pump being clogged or most likely the coupling has broken.
