Default Washing Machine Won't Agitate
Model Number: GE Super Capacity - 6 cycle - heavy duty   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

My washing machine won't agitate. It will spin, drain, etc., but no agitate. I thought I had overfilled it so I took over half the load out and nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

If the motor runs in agitate, you have a bad agitator coupler, just yank agitator off and check.
If motor is off, you probably have a stuck water level switch. Just check it with reference to the schematic.

Push a rope under agitator and around a 2x4 on top of the washer and pry off!!
