Hi,
Our Whirpool has recently ceased to thoroughly wring the clothes out in the spin cycle. Towels come out actually dripping wet. Ditto for larger loads. Have seen the other threads on this topic but I'm not sure where to start and there are other symptoms (I think) or clues going on with our washer.

1. The tub seems to be sitting down on its shaft. Doesn't spin very freely by hand and at the start of the spin cycle seems to take a while to crank up to higher rpms. Feels like the tub on our dryer that rides on a felt ring- like there is mild resistance. Does not feel like a destroyed bearing.

2. Top of tub can tilt 10°-15° in any direction. Is this normal?

3. I can hear water sloshing around in bottom of tub assembly no matter how many times we run the spin cycle.

4. Pump unit was replaced about six months ago and seems to be working fine. Seems to evacuate the water ok during the wash cycle.

5. There are no leaks.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Since there is water in the tub after you finish I lean toward an obstruction in the pump or drain line that goes from the tub through the pump to the outside.

If you are missing a sock, or something like that, look for it in the lines or the pump.
