Model Number: GSX9885JQ0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years

Whirpool Gold Catalist spins slowly. Other functions work ok. I replaced coupler cause there was rubber residue, but that didn't fix it. Ohmed-out lid switch and off-balance switch. They're ok. Tub spins very slowly but may spin fast for 1 revolution. Clutch Possibly?

Given your symptoms the clutch is the most likely source of the problem. Change it out and that should fix things.
