Hi, I have a problem with my Neptune. After my brother and husband repaired the bearings (with help from your article-Thank you!) We tried to do a wash and the machine sounded great. Nice and quiet. The problem is that as the machine tries to go into high spin after it gets going the tub shakes all over the place (like an out of balance load) and then it slows and/or stops. Then after a minute or so it will try again. It goes through this until the end of the cycle. Needless to say i have wet clothes. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Remove the top cover and look for a busted shock, a bad spring, or some suspension item nor hooked up.

I was hoping it was something easily enough to fix. We'll try that. Thank you for this and also the bearing repair info. It really helped.

Hi guys. My husband removed the panels and everthing looks ok as far as springs and struts. Should we start looking at switches and such? Which one would be most likely the best place to start? Any thoughts? Thanks again.

You may have damaged a strut. From the back, shake the tub up and down from each corner, you should be able to detect which strut is bad.

Hi Rich, We did as suggested to check the struts. Looked as though the one on the left (looking at the back of machine) was bad. We replaced the struts but the machine is still not spinning out in high speed. Clothes are still wet at end of cycle. Any thoughts. Thanks

It could be the washer never even whent into high speed spin. If so, you probably need to replace the motor and motor pc board. These blow out due to the higher loading from the bad bearings.Part AP3160609 is the part you will need.

The washer was working fine (spinning out ect.) prior to the noise from the bearings. I noticed it (the noise) late one night and immediatly shut it off. We did not continue using the washer. Could it be the little switch that attaches to the strut? It seems to be (as it's attempting to go into high speed) spinning faster than before but still shuts down as though it's unbalanced. As it starts spinning the tub still bounces around pretty good. Thanks
