Unhappy Kenmore washer agitates slowly & seems to slip
Model Number: 11082874820   Brand: Kenmore   Age: More than 10 years

Lately I've noticed my Kenmore washer (top load) is agitating slowly on all cycles and seems to "slip" while agitating. Anyone have a suggestions on what may be the cause? Thanks.

You need to either tighten the belt, or replace it. Make sure you don't tighten the belt too tight.

The dogs in the agitator are more than likely worn out and needing replaced your machine doesn't have a belt as it is a direct drive washer the part number to the dogs is FSP# 80040

Somehow your washer came up as a belt driven waqsher. Oh well. remove the 7/16 bolt under the agitator top, pull out the agitator, put your feet on the bottom section, and yank off the top. Put the new dogs on, hold the assembly upside down, and put it back in the agitator base.
