My wife's washer won't spin. It will fill with water and drain, and tries to spin but doesn't. Does anyone know how to get the top off and the front panel down so i can look at it. I think a sock as went over the top and is stopping it from spinning.

Insert a screw driver in the gap between the top and front near the edges and you will release clips that hold the front on.
You can now see what is happening while it is trying to spin. This motor has a built in clutch, so that may be your problem.
