washer does not spin
Model Number: PAVT244AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
WASHER DOES NOT SPIN OR AGGETATE
motor turns freely without belt. motor will turn and burn pully and belt transmission does turn but not very easy water pump ok not locked up if you take belt off turn motor on it works fine do you think maybe trans is bad Ads By Google Related Models

If you can not move the drive pulley in both directions by hands then the transmission most likely is bad.

washer does not spin
the drive shaft pulley
if I pull the belt off i can turn the transmission pully it does turn but it feels slugish so if i put it on a cycle it will fill the tank then when it goes to aggetate it locks up and pully on motor spins and starts to melt belt and pulley if I advance the cycle to rinse it will drain so motor is turning and belt is turning or water pump wont drain tank I just cant get it to aggetate

Can you turn the drive pulley clockwise? If you can not then the transmission is locked up and has to be replaced.
