During the third load of laundry today I opened the door to the laundry room and heard a loud grinding sound.
Surfed the web a bit and troubleshot as far as I could.

Currently the machine is disassembled to the point where I can see that the motor coupling is damaged, 1 tine of the motor side is snapped off.

I thought that this may be odd so with the washer in this state I tried to spin the drum by hand but couldn't remember if the drum should spin by hand. It currently will not .

Is there any reason to suspect any other parts or should I just have confidence that replacing this coupling will work?
