Model Number: Hav4657EWW Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
I need to replace the time mechanism on my Maytag washing machine. The washer works, but I have to manually advance the timer through the cycles. My replacement part has just been delivered, but I am unsure what is the best way of removing the timer knobs without breaking anything. I have read similar posts, but I am not sure that they apply to my particular model. (HAV4657EWW)
P.S. I ordered the part on Monday afternoon and received it on Thursday afternoon. The ordering and shipping services have been quick, easy and efficient. Ads By Google Related Models |

Open the control panel and look at the timer. There is a plastic plug in the center of the timer shaft. Using a small screwdriver or similar tool, pry it out about 3/4 inch. You can now pull the knob off. Once it's off, you'll see how this works.
