Model Number: WWA7070GAL Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
The knob no longer engages the dial on my elderly GE WWA7070GAL washing machine. I believe the clip which goes between the knob and the dial is missing or mashed. How do I remove the knob in order to replace the clip? Thank you!

This is a pretty old model, and I don't have one in front of me, but I think if the clip is missing the knob just pulls off. That's the way it works on the new machines and the exploded diagram of yours indictes thats the way it should be.
