I have a Whirlpool top load washer that has been functioning great for the years I have owned it. However, for just over a week, there has been a moldy smell emanating from it. All drains are working well. The tub has been washed with Lysol but still to no avail. When I looked underneath the machine I noticed there was a white, plastic, slightly see thru "tub" attached to the bottom of the metal tub. It looks as if there is some sort of soap or scum buildup in this plastic tub. Could this be what is causing this moldy smell? If so, will the Affresh work on top load washers? Thank sincerely in advance for your help. Best Regards, Jay

A model number may help others help you.
You could try running a cycle with bleach. Affresh may work, you will not know till you give it a try. |
