My Whirlpool LSQ9200LQ0 washer knocks during all spins, but does not seem to be out of balance... it even happens with no load (just a little water). The knocks seem to be about 2 per second on Low Spin, and 4 per second on High Spin. The basket and tub only seem to wobble a small amount (maybe a 1/2 inch or less).

Your best guess(es)??

Thanks

Just observed another possible symptom...

when agitating, the top part of the agitator (kind of like a corkscrew shape) doesnt' move back and forth like the bottom part... in fact you can just spin it around by hand, as it appears to be entirely decoupled from the lower agitator.

Could be worn or broken dog ears in the agitator. This is a simple repair on a whrilpool washer it that is the problem.
