Is this a bad pressure switch... again?
Model Number: ghw9150pw4 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Hi. I've got a ghw9150pw4 Whirlpool washer. A few months ago, I started getting an HF error during the wash cycle. If I washed w/ cold water only, the error didn't happen. Then a week or so later, here comes the HF error again. I checked inlets and other things I saw on forums, but gave up and ordered a new water pressure switch. Everything worked in any temperature. Life was good. Here we are 5 months later, and the HF error is happening again. I got a couple weeks going w/ cold water, but now we're getting errors every cycle. If I stop, then re-run the load, It was able to run a complete cycle, but now it isn't working consistently after 2 tries.
We've blown out the pressure tube and checked for leaks, and are on the verge of kicking the dumb machine (but figure that will just hurt our feet), so I think we'll be ordering another pressure switch if no one has any other ideas.
It would seem that the pressure switch is the culprit, but I'm doubting our luck would be so bad as to have the new switch go kaput within a few months.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
