Our washer stopped spinning. We tore it apart and discovered it was the motor coupling. I have ordered the part, however, as we have taken apart and put back together a piece fell out of something. It is a brass pin about 2 inches long. It has a flat head, flat on one side, and hole near the tip. What is it and where does it go?

Don't worry about it. It's one of the shipping bolts that held the base and suspension together when the machine was new. As it was installed, the strap was removed, pulling the shipping bolts (three of them) out and landing them into cups designed to receive them; until someone turns the machine upside down, and discovers one of them.
