During spin cycle the washer emits a very loud noise (almost like a mild grinding noise) and when lid was opened no observable movement you would typically see when opening the lid while on spin cycle. I suspected a belt might have broken or frayed or perhaps a clutch that engages the basket, but wanted an opinion before opening the back of the washer up.
